I would not mind one bit if there was a seperate subforum for the various small 7th day movements. Their participation levels here do not warrant a seperate sub forum for each of them individually.bugkiller, you have the wrong idea. SDA's and Messinaics are major denomination and movements. we are talking a place for smaller groups like the seventh-day chruch of god or 7 day Baptist or Sabbath keeping christian chruch. I am a sabbath keeper and I am not part of either group. it would be nice to have a place to meet other NON sda and NON messianic. a sabbath sub forum would meet that need.
I hope the rules of engagement on the new forum is against any postings against the Sabbath. I hope that this will be a safe haven for Sabbath keepers. IT is a whole different life style and relationship with their Creator and Redeemer for those who keep it.
I tried to find some worldwide membership statistics on those 2 Denominations/Congregations.Originally Posted by icedragon101

Seventh-day Adventist Church - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a Protestant Christian denomination distinguished by its observance of Saturday, the original seventh day of the Judeo-Christian week, as the Sabbath, and by its emphasis on the imminent second coming (Advent) of Jesus Christ
autonomy in the structure for one will stop this from ever happening, and we haven't even got into the doctrinal differences...lol.. they couldn't even agree on Sabbath keeping styles.... one sees only the weekly... and the other sees all of Lev 23 Sabbaths... One sees only 10 commandments,.. the other sees all 213 in Yeshua's revised upgrade,..I tried to find some worldwide membership statistics on those 2 Denominations/Congregations.
Not sure why those 2 just don't join together and they would be a more formidal challenge to the non-saturday sabbath keeping Christians, esp. the RCC.
They both appear to have started within the last 2 centuries.
Seventh-day Adventist Church - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a Protestant Christian denomination distinguished by its observance of Saturday, the original seventh day of the Judeo-Christian week, as the Sabbath, and by its emphasis on the imminent second coming (Advent) of Jesus Christ and was formally established in 1863.
The world church is governed by a General Conference, with smaller regions administered by divisions, union conferences and local conferences. It currently has a worldwide baptized membership of about 16.3 million people.
As of May 2007, it was the twelfth-largest religious body in the world, and the sixth-largest highly international religious body.
Messianic Judaism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Messianic Judaism is a syncretic religious movement that arose in the 1960s and 70s.
It blends evangelical Christian theology with elements of religious Jewish practice and terminology. Messianic Judaism generally holds that Jesus is both the Jewish Messiah and "God the Son" (one person of the Trinity), though some within the movement do not hold to Trinitarian beliefs.
With few exceptions, both the Tanakh and the New Testament are believed to be authoritative and divinely inspired scripture.
From 2003 to 2007, the movement grew from 150 Messianic houses of worship in the United States to as many as 438, with over 100 in Israel and more worldwide; congregations are often affiliated with larger Messianic organizations or alliances.[31][32]
In 2008, the movement was reported to have between 6,000 and 15,000 members in Israel and 250,000 in the United States.
I believe the Sabbath and Law threads should have a completely seperate board on GT for debating. So if we were to have this fellowship forum we could have questions from non sabbath keepers but I recommend against debate, keep debate in the general theology forum, but welcome questions of any kind
How does that sound?
Where the heck have you been?that sounds like a great idea .
Where the heck have you been?
...
Any idea what board it would be put on?Im looking to see who would be interested in a Sabbath Keepers forum
Thoughts?
Ideas?
Who on this post, believes in keeping the seventh day Sabbath, which is Saturday?
This is not the correct location to debate this -- please ensure you are checking the forum first. This forum is to Suggest New Forums, not for debate. Please ensure that you are reviewing each forum's SOP as well
Are you asking because you are a Sabbath keeper who would like to see a Sabbath Keepers forum for the reason that you don't identify with any of the forums here that keep the Seventh-day Sabbath???Sorry I just had seen it mentioned Sabbath keepers.
