Anyone know a good drop in trigger for my 10-22. I had it worked on and it is still horrible to say the least. [It is factory] and pulling 5 lb, I would love a timmy but 200 dollars is to much for a 2lb or so difference to me. Also has anyone tried the 20 in green mt bull barrel? I am an avid squirrel hunter and don't want anything "too' heavy to carry but I found some on sale and was thinking about trying one. My current one is a 16 in and it does shoot decently.
I won the last church shoot we had with my factory barrel and a good crown job. Offhand with no rest I shot a 3in 10 shot group at 50 yards.

We used to shoot bottle cap groups at 25 and 50 yards with a 10-22 and also a Marlin bolt with scopes. I sold the Marlin and bought a 30-30, the wife still has her 10-22. I think if I were squirrel hunting these days I use and air powered rifle and get rid of the bang.

We just used stock triggers, the accuracy was in a consistent squeeze shot to shot and the scope , though a red dot is even better, that's what I use on the 30-30. I'll never own a different scope now because you can let that dot float around inside the scope but once dialed in, squeeze that trigger with the dot on target that's where the bullet will hit.. With my goofy eyes I need all the help I can get. The red dot solved my parallax issue. however with all this said, the main reason I dumped the Marlin is because the trigger was horrible, while I shot it fine it was without pleasure due to that trigger.

Get yourself a BX trigger. I bought one for my Ruger 22 Charger and it made a lot of difference....

Ruger® BX-Trigger™
Thanks George I will look those up. Ruger has the worst triggers on their 10-22s, Mine was originally pulling 9 lbs I love your Avatar as it fits me to a tee lol.

I here ya, Those little Marlins with their micro-groove barrel are accurate as all get out. I have always used a red dot on my crossbow until now, I bought a new killer instinct with a muti reticle scope so I am anxious to use it this year. I have never tried one on a rifle before but have used eo tech and such on pistols quite a bit :]

It took the trigger pull on my Charger from 6 lbs down to a little under 3 lbs. I've since sold my Charger, but not because it wasn't a shooter....just didn't use it much, and I wanted another 1911.

Never shot a charger but they look fun. I like a 3lb or lighter trigger. I keep my deer rifles which are adjustable at 3lb each and I am real comfortable there so I think I will keep all guns the same so I am consistent
