The last week has been awful. Last Sunday night an ice storm downed trees and power lines. Power was out for four days (school was out for all 5 days). Forunately we had heat, but it was still an ordeal. Then the very hour (5pm on Thursday) the power came back on, my husband had to go to the ER for a suspected infection of the knee joint (it was bothering him for the last couple of days then he developed a fever). They admitted him to the hospital in the wee hours of the morning. My children (I have three) and I went to see him Friday night. Then on the way home my middle child got sick. On Saturday my older two were sick. Then on Sunday (today) just my younger one is sick. As for my husband, they ruled out any infection and discovered a tear in the Meniscus which is cartilage. Apparently, since it has little in the way of blood supply, it takes a long time to heal. Also if the tear is bigger, it of course, takes longer to heal. I don't know how big it is. Anyways, the doctors are pondering whether surgery is needed to speed healing.
*sigh*
I feel wiped out. I sure hope all this doesn't bring on an episode or anything. I've been pretty level lately.
Please pray for us.
