Rough time at mass

I've had a rough time at mass, this morning, don't worry, I'm fine now, but at mass I was really struggling. As usual, I had a hard time focusing on Jesus, and mourning over the irreverence displayed there. What's more, an infant was baptized there and I couldn't focus on praying that he be protected from heresy and error and become a holy and Godly Saint. I really need to move, please pray that I do, and pray also for that baptized infant, that he grows up to be a holy and Godly Saint.

That may well be. There is more diversity in one church than
between any denominations. You may be in with a crowd that
doesn't suit your needs.

Yeah, sadly that is the case. (I mean, diversity is good to degree, it's nice that the Catholic Church has good number of rites, but when diversity includes the stuff I see at mass, that's where things cross a line or several)

I started feeling more at peace when the liturgy of the Eucharist started. I'm going be adoring Christ via a live stream later today.

My wife and I were in the same boat this evening. Because of scheduling, we went to a late Life Teen mass at the parish we visit most often. While the liturgy wasn't a problem, the music was terribly distracting. There's something about a drum machine that throws me off center.

We survived in good spirits, though we both wondered what we would do if this were the only type of mass available to us. Fortunately, here in Catholicville, we have our choice of nice, reverent churches in which to celebrate mass.
