  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I really like this series.
Canada does it again.

With flashpoint yanked from the series graveyard,
now they have Rookie blue.
The show follows the 5 rookies and thier first assignment.

They make many mistakes, some mistakes I believe the training officer would be thrown off the force for.

The characters seem real, and they get their stories from real cops rookie stories.

-Confronting a gun totting teen with an empty pistol, and both pouches empty. (She forgot the bullets at home.)

Waits with foster parent as her teen as brain surgery to remove a bullet needed to convict a killer.

These are not the typical macho cops, glaring down criminals while posing, or taking off thier sunglasses as a signature move.
Like flashpoint the bad guys aren't always the worst of people, and the cops aren't perfect. They actually show emotions other than anger.

I think Canada will be a force to give competition to the big US studios rather quickly. American made seems to be an assembly line story. Detective show-Crime scene investigator, sit com. The names and faces change, but they seem to replay the same stories over and over.
