CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Legal, no. As to whether or not it's "right", that's a gray area. Personally, I have no problem with it, since trying to find a lot of classic games to buy is virtually impossible.

That's not entirely true. Some old games get re-released, usually in compilations of a bunch of related games. Other times they get re-released and updated on new platforms (some of the old NES and SNES games have been released for the GBA).
But those are the exceptions, not the rule.

Don't ask others. Just email sony and ask them the same question. If you have the game then who cares. But someone bought the game copyed it and then gave it away.
I've seen christians who love Jesus download Christian music, mp3s. Now I know it's wrong but I just talked to some of the Record CO's and they came right back and said yes. It was people posting whole CD's not the free mp3s. I had a bible program (copy)$300+ given to me but I new there was no way I could keep it. Yet I in the back of my mind thought it does not hurt to ask lol. So I did and they in a very very nice way just said that the person that gave it to you had no right to copy it and give it to you. So I bought my own.

yes that is the best way to go about it
though you can probably do a google search as well to check
some companies list games they no longer "care" about, finacially speaking, that people can download.

It is so hard now days since we have the internet and things are so easy to find. Just on little click and there ya go. I been there.
