  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I was sitting here on the net, and i look down and my shirt is wet....lol.... i was like "whats going on".... lol... my boobs are leaking. Does it come and go? Does it get worse? lol.... Should i get nursing pads to put in my bra, or should just wearing my bra be fine....lol...

I think this is something that varies with every person. I haven't had any leaking at all. I would wait to see if it keeps happening and decide on nursing pads from there. I have also heard of women cutting an unscented pantiliner in half and sticking it to their bra over their nipples as a way of preventing it through leaking through their shirt.

It depends on how you are feeling about the leaking. Maybe at home I wouldn't worry about it. You have to be careful about those waterproof breast pads because they can cause an infection. (or what I've heard anyway) I have never had a problem with leaking milk.

If you are worried about it when you go out and about, I would maybe wear a breastpad or something like that.

Also, if you are thinking about baby stuff, or hear a baby crying, you are more likely to leak. Also during intimacy with hubby, that can bring it on too.

 Great advice...I had my first experience a couple of weeks ago...I took off my shirt changing for bed and noticed my bra was wet...I didnt remember spilling anything...it smelled kind of funny...thats when I realized what had happend..by where the wet spots were...I got kind of worried..what if it would happen again while I was out and about...but, praise the Lord it hasnt..but if it happens again I may go for the pads...just to be on the safe side..and they arent that expensive.

Iwas a leaking fool when I was pregnant with my daughter. I opted for the pads and I got ones that were washable. It wasn't as bad with my son. After you have the baby then you may expereince leaking. I breastfed both of mine and loved it, but with my daughter at nightime I was like a faucet that wouldn't turn off :) What I ended up doing was laying towels down on my side of the bed and sleeping topless. I was so tired of washing my pjs.

No leakage yet, but now I am nervous because I work all day and live 30 miles away..now I know to have a backup blouse and something to soak it up with!!:)

Not everyone leaks. I didn't with my first. I'm nearly 18 weeks and not leaking with this one either.

Although if you are worried, take an extra top, bra and some pads, if you are really worried.

It varies for everyone. Once your body realizes that you are not feeding triplets, things may settle down, but then again, they may not. And it can be different with each baby. With one of mine, I was a soggy mess all the time! Between getting out of my bra and getting into the shower, I'd spout!

When you are out of the house, avoid wearing solids so leaking won't be quite so obvious.

LOL, this was my experience, too, but I didn't start leaking until about 6 or 7 months with my first (and it wasn't nearly so bad with my second). LOL, I remember clearly the first time it happened. My hubby and I were lounging around in bed one night watching TV, umm, naked (you know, the way you used to BEFORE there are little ones to come barging in the room ;) ). He was laying on his stomach and I was sort of leaning against his back. LOL, well, all of a sudden, I noticed that there was something wet on his back and I (ignorantly) asked him what it was, lol. Hehe, he was like,"Umm, hon, I think it's you." He just thought it was hilarious...I was just feeling embarrassed and a little grossed out, but I got used to it.

And, yes, I had to put towels underneath me too when I slept since I slept on my stomach or side constantly. Otherwise I'd wake up with a huge wet spot on the bed. Bleh, the joys of pregnancy. ;)
