  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Dear Daily Message Readers,

READ: 1 Corinthians 1:4-9

1 Corinthians 1:8 (NIV) "He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ"

Faithfulness is a great quality to have in a friend. As years pass quickly, even if they don’t see each other regularly, faithful friends can always start over and pick up where they left off. It is always tough enough to make good, reliable friends, and the ones who stay by us are that much more special.

I don't know about you, but I want to be that kind of friend and I have many friends like that. But I also know that I won’t always be around to be that type of friend. In fact, no one can. I might move away. My best friend might move away. On the other hand, what is even more certain is death (Hebrews 9:27).

That’s why faithfulness is such an awesome quality in God: Because He will never die. He is eternal (See: Psalm 90). When He says He is faithful to His people--both as individuals and as humanity--He means forever. We never have to worry about God not being there for us. He always will. He is eternally faithful.

Various biblical passages attest to God's loving faithfulness. In Ephesians 3:18, for instance, the apostle Paul writes, "And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is." That covers just about any situation for any length of time! Notice too that Psalm 90 is titled "A Prayer of Moses, the Man of God." Moses wrote it nearly 3,000 years ago, which, even with our historical records, is relatively early in God’s record of faithfulness. His psalm is more like a prophecy that has come true.

Today, we can face unexpected change because God "always does just what he says, and he is the one who invited you into this wonderful friendship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord" (1 Corinthians 1:9). Faith Lesson: In a world of change, the only certainty is the rock-solid faithfulness of Almighty God.

In Christ,
Darin Smith

For a while I was very lost without her. God helped me threw that time and has helped me threw alot of times. He is my best friend and the best friend and best father anyoen could ever ask for. I dont really know my real dad so When someone asks my fathers name I say God.

I hear ya, kuntrygurl_26...God is so faithful that we can't help but put our trust and faith in Him. That is the ONLY thing we can do...Esp. when you don't have an earthly father-figure to look up to, His Word tells us to look heavenward and put our trust in the Heavenly Father...Awesome...

I have also noticed that a lot of people take this for granted. With tax season and a lot of college kids started to become stressed with deadlines, people are now being taken out of their comfort zones to places they have never been. And in the midst of that comes a lack of faith in God because they only seek Him in good times. Sad. Because, as tough as it is to let go of the control I have over things, the Lord is eternally good and will see us through to the end.

Keep the faith! Thanks for your reply! :)
