Rock Band for PS2

I posted this originally in Gadget and Technology, before I found this forum.


I don't know if this is the right forum, but I just got Rock Band for Christmas, and I cannot get the controllers to work on my PS2. It recognizes the mic, but I can't get anything with the wireless guitar. I pressed the little sync button, and it just flashes a red light, and nothing happens. Anyone got any suggestions?

ETA: I have a silver PS2, bought at the beginning of this year. The light on the guitar dongle doesn't light up at all.
