Greetings fellow believers. my name it Rob, and its my Joy to tell you about my journey to meet God.
todays version . A short tale. 1974 in rural N.Z. Iwas at a youth group meeting with my younger brother the speaker was a person I did not know, but what he was saying really spoke to my heart. It was a bit of a cold night the bomfire was roaring I was away in the shadows.Seeing the kids around me all happy,laughing . I wanted what they had but how do you get it?. this guy was going on how God loves you etc. then I thought I reckon this would be good for me!!. So very quietly I said to God lets do it. and askde Him into my life.at that imediate time I felt a huge warm windLight one brush passed me, it was like some one had put their arms around me.and God was saying to me " welcome my son." that was about it . so I told my mate what I had done and I said dont tell anyone.And what do's he do !! go's up to the speaker guy tells him and folks that night I got my !st bible. God met Rob that night in N.Z. the best thing that ever happened to me. ( the story continues).

Hi, I'm back.now that we have the beginning let me back track to how I got there.( by car,ha!ha!) just kidding. OK then imagine this you are the oldest in the family, and you room with your youngest brother who Is a christian.every night well I mean most nights, he would tell me about his God.some times freaken me out!!. Night after night this would haappen. till one time I had had enoughthe anger rose in me and I can still to this day saying bro!! you tell me one more time about your God and I'm goin to smash you one. Well this next bit was really weird. I went over to carry out what I said I would do went to hit him one and it was like something or some one grabbed my fist!!. I could not get within 0ne inch of his face talk about spooky.I just took off for the long think.Next day we made up and I then started to go to some of those meetings only to meet up with my God whom I still call Dad. ( to be continued).

after that unnerving experiance, life went on having more and more fun. going to church enjoying the christian life, bible reading etc. the next few years went on till about 1981 , I was living where I am now when a team from YWAM. turned up at my church for a week. ministering around town I spent a lot of time with them. I could see what God was doing in my life and really felt that this was for me serving God in missions.God was preparing my life for what he wanted me to do.

preparing my heart!! was He what. little did I know the adventure was about to begin.after getting to know these YWAMers talkin to them I started to think, these guys were doing what God wants them to do and were loving whay they were doin.and I said thats for me so I started to and kinda got an answer not that long after, where God guides He provides.( so true). with in weeks I had my application forms filled out and gone, accepted for missions. cool!! I thought. they sent me my aceptance and I was to go down country to a place called Gore in the south island of N.Z. awesome!!.no one told me that serving God in a training school type setup would be easy. Ha! ha! joke.I learned to let God do with your live what He wants too, not what you want, so 1. I was in training. 2 . i was doing what God wanted me to do.Like I said before the adventure begins. to continue. Rob. ( please let me know what you think!!) thanx....
