Robertson and Hagee willing servants of those engendering a clash of civilizations

Fake Christian conservative Pat Robertson has hit the headlines again by throwing his hat in with Rudy Giuliani, a man who supports the continued war in Iraq, supports the preemptive bombing of Iran, is pro-abortion and is an adulterer who has been married on three different occasions.
Also noteworthy is that fact that Giuliani is supportive of gay rights, an issue, along with abortion, that Robertson has for years made the crux of his programming.

Regardless of where you stand on these issues, for Robertson to turn around and say they no longer matter, and what is more important is the battle against "Isamofascism", highlights just how much of a total and complete hypocrite the man is and how he has long been willing to be used as a political tool for the neoconservative movement.

Jerry Mazza over at Online Journal, has an excellent critique which gives further insight into the use of evangelism for political gain. Describing Robertson's Dominionist movement, he comments:

“From 1982 through ‘86, Robertson, plus other radio and TV evangelists, rallied Christian soldiers to this new political faith. It turned them literally into an army of political ops. Most of us didn’t have a clue that this ‘militant agenda’ dressed up as Christianity’s lamb was licking its chops with a scheme for a government coup that would turn the U.S. into a wolf (or Wolfowitz), seeking a world empire for the 21st Century. Yet as early as 1994, lone journalist Frederick Clarkson warned that Dominionism ‘seeks to replace democracy with a theocratic elite that would govern by imposing their interpretation of ‘Biblical Law.’’ And this to eliminate" . . . labor unions, civil rights laws and public schools.’"

Last year Robertson hit headlines for telling his viewers that Islam wants to take over the world and is not a religion of peace, and that radical Muslims are "satanic." "The goal of Islam, ladies and gentlemen whether you like it or not, is world domination," said Robertson.

Robertson's past comments also underscore the fact that nobody other than Robertson himself has done more to desert so-called Christian principles.

No matter how idiotic, Robertson has a right to say whatever he likes under the 1st Amendment. This isn't a 'hate speech' issue. The issue is that Robertson is a complete hypocrite and he is aiding the downfall of Christianity in America by defaming every major tenet of the Bible.

In April 2001 Robertson supported China's brutal policy of forced abortion and said that the Communist country was "doing what they have to do" in keeping population numbers down. It is not Christian to advocate even voluntary abortion on the part of the mother, never mind such a tyrannical model of forced abortion as part of a wider eugenics agenda as is the case in China.

Whenever the subject of implantable chips has been raised on the 700 Club, Robertson has whitewashed the issue, saying that it doesn't represent the mark of the beast and that Christians should not be concerned about it. This directly contradicts the Bible and Revelations.

Last year Robertson caused waves when he advocated the assassination of Venezuelan populist president Hugo Chavez. In doing so Robertson is nailing his colors to the wall as a firm minion of the New World Order. Chavez has rallied against the Globalists at every turn, including his recent spat with Vincente Fox and his rejection of the FTAA.

Robertson has been caught on numerous occasions flashing El Diablo Satanic hand signals on his show (pictured above) and soft-peddling for the beast system by telling Christians not to worry about Big Brother surveillance and biometric scanning.

Robertson is pro Skull and Bones, Bohemian Grove Bush, pro war, and pro big government. He is a modern day Judas Iscariot. How does this help an image of Christianity that has already been hijacked and soiled by evil men who veil themselves in religion to obscure mass criminality?

Atheists channel surfing reach the God Channel, CBN and Trinity Broadcasting Network and are confronted by maniacal drooling televangelists who bark like dogs and claim to have the power to save someone's life by touching them on the head. They see the ravings of these demented lunatics and immediately say to themselves, "if that's God I want nothing to do with it."

If we do a little channel surfing ourselves we come to Pastor John Hagee, the founder of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas, a non-denominational evangelical church with more than 19,000 active members, making him one of the nation's most influential evangelists.

No surprise then that Hagee is also doing his best to undermine the tenets of Christianity and push the neocon agenda.

In his latest book, entitled In defense of Israel ,he promises to "expose the vicious abuse of the Jewish people" and "shake Christian theology", he does this by denying the very cornerstone of Christianity itself, that Jesus was the messiah, was rejected and will come again. "how can the Jews be blamed for rejecting what was never offered?" Hagee states in the following infomercial:

Can be found on infowars.com under search. Type in this article

Hagee preaches that Romans 9, 10 and 11 teach that Jews continue to have favor with God by the election of grace without necessarily believing in Jesus. Hagee believes that the Bible commands Christians to be supportive of Israel and the Jewish people.

In the face of commonly accepted teachings, he often makes the claim that the land of Israel has never belonged to the Palestinian people. He claims that the land was first called Palestine by the Romans, that there is no Palestinian language and that most Palestinians immigrated from Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Syria, and other Arab nations shortly before 1948.

Where does all this lead? Of course, much like Robertson, Hagee has publicly stated that he sees Iran as a threat to Western civilization and does not believe that the "Islamofascist" mentality will ever respond favorably to diplomacy. He supports an American-Israeli pre-emptive strike on Iran to take out its nuclear capability.

Hagee has received numerous honors and accolades from national Jewish organizations for his support of Israel.

These evangelical leaders are often laughed off as ridiculous figures by non Christians, the reality whether you like it or not however is that they command great influence in America, and as the neocons know, where there is influence, there is power to be had and money to be made.
Robertson and Hagee are not alone of course, there are thousands of different sects nitpicking about whose bizarre interpretations of Biblical minutia is correct while ignoring the crystal clear fundamental basics of how to successfully live your life using the example of Jesus Christ.

Meanwhile the clash of civilizations is being deliberately engendered, via the fabricated war on terror, so the elite can swoop in and pick up the pieces after civil society and the economy go down in flames.
Pat Robertson, John Hagee and their ilk are willing servants of the globalists. Their controversial comments only serve to enhance the agenda of bringing true Christianity to its knees and forcibly replacing it with a Godless one world government where the only allegiance permitted is to the state itself.

You might want to move this to a different subforum... while it's about ethics, this forum is more about businesses than ministries. (Which turn out to be businesses in the long run.)

I agree that there is plenty of political hype and rallying in televangelism. But I don't see Robertson as the person doing it. His statements are often taken out of context, when he is simply trying to explain the rationale behind things. He does not shout and get people worked up over an issue like some others do. He does not insist that viewers believe the same thing he does, or use intimidation.

We can also find political hype on CNN, on Fox News, on the Comedy Channel... we are not immune to getting pulled in, but our culture accepts it as varied voice. If Westerners are gullible enough to follow one man's opinion, then we might as well pack our bags and restore Jonestown.

This article is more biased than either preacher, using unfounded language like "complete hypocrite" and "willing servants of the globalists."

Flashing El Diablo Satanic hand signals? The article completely lost me there. A person should not have to worry about how they move their hands when speaking.

So... did you post this because you're worried, or trying to bring an issue to light, or angry with evangelicals, or curious about our opinions, or just trying to start conversation?

I don't know the situation, but he is so high profile that a daughter's delivery might have required a certain amount of privacy from reporters and viewers that the hospital wasn't responsible to offer.

Robertson was a serious Republican presidential candidate in 1988, so his family would still face some risk of public intrusion and threats a few years after. He was also the founder of a highly competitive university that offers PhD's, the son of a senator, a Yale law student, and founder of a longstanding television network.

Around the time described, his network shifted and was listed on the NY Stock Exchange-- later run by Fox and Disney. He was honored with an FBI award in 1978, named Humanitarian of the year in 1982, and named by Newsweek as one of America's cultural elite in 1992.

This list barely makes a dent. I am not trying to defend his motives, but point out that he has worked his butt off.

<snip>

This is August 2009. Story dated November 2007 on the long finished Presidential race. On Giuliani no less when he was a contender.

Okay. Please.

And "infowars.net" - as you can tell from the title - is not a unbiased news source.

There is a difference between editorials and commentaries and journalism.

I know. I know. This is not what people are being taught often today.

But we all have minds to reason with and are expected to use them.

I don't mean to turn this into another Hagee bashing thread...so let's don't go there. But his denial of Christ as the Messiah has stuck with me since I saw it a few years back, mostly because it was so outrageous. Seriously, how can this guy be the Head Pastor of a 18000-member church?

I guess you'd have to read it to find out, lol.

The bit about Jesus not making claims to be the Messiah... remember that the term "messiah" meant something different to Jews then, than it does to us now.

Christians consider the Messiah the spiritual savior sent to deliver a new but promised covenant from God. The Jews then considered the messiah a political deliverer, who would return Israel to an independent state.

Jesus rode into Jerusalem like a king, and people paved the way for him to lead them. He chose to ride on a donkey, showing His intent was not conquering the military rule there.

So.... yes and no. I haven't read the book, but Hagee is about as staunchly Christian as they come.
