  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm writing this while sitting in the back of the room and listening to David Davis preach at T.O.S., a church in tubingen germany

We are in the 3rd day of a 5 day conference which they have called "Road to Jerusalem". No relation to the one happening in America...this one is better.

This church in Germany heard Zealous Over Zion 4 years ago. The song "babylon" convicted them that repentance for the sins of their fathers in the 3rd Reich was not enough. They decided they could no longer be silent.

I would get writers cramp telling you all that they have done but they have began blessing Israel since that day...and have established outreach ministries for the poor and for drug addicts in Ireland, Belarus, Israel, and all over South America...and Germany.

Their message of blessing the jewish people was not received in Germany at first but this pastor, Jobst Bittner, knew this was the will of God and continued teaching the truth about blessing Israel and now has one the most dynamic growing churches of Germany.

The church is built in such a way that you have to walk over some train tracks to get in the door. These train tracks are the ones that took jews to every concentration camp to the east. What a grim reminder of the need to repent, eh?

Germany is SUCH a christian country that everything is closed today for a national holiday. The Ascension of Jesus.

Jobst is not pulling any punches either. He is preaching strong repentance can only be followed with action and that silence about blessing Israel is the same sin as murder.

I'm here with Karen Davis and Arnie Klein from Israel and this Saturday we're all going on a march. About 500 crazy christians are going to take over the city.

This city, Tubingen, got rid of the jews long before Hitler did. They kicked them out of the university a century ago.

So we are ALL going to the city square to declare God's faithfulness to the jews on Shabbat. After that we will do a prayer walk through the empty jewish quarter to pray for Israel and the jews. After that we are doing a praise/worship service at the University campus to declare that the God of Israel rules here.

It is a new day, folks. This church is going to make sure of it.

Be encouraged. Be very encouraged.

Ants, I hope you can move to Tubingen. There is nothing like this place in the world. In 1993, 150 of them walked 7 weeks along the path that Hitler took to Moscow bringing gifts of repentance like food, bibles, prayer and publicly asking for forgiveness all along the way. They were the first church ever allowed to pray on Red Square in front of the Kremlin because the Russians were so touched.

Germany scolded them.

Yesterday in the city square was so utterly amazing that I can't even put it into words just yet. One thing we did was carry flags of many nations and at one point they all bowed to the flag of Israel and the banner of Yeshua. Then everyone was assigned 4 different chapters of the Bible and the entire Word was read aloud in 30 minutes.

I'll put up pictures and an explanation in a blog and come back later with the link....when I get home on Tuesday.

thanks for praying.

We weren't taking turns though...

We were all reading at the same time spread out over the city square.

Think about this...

Who better than Germans can repent for past sins against the jews? I honestly now believe that this church will provoke Israel to jealousy even if no other church in the world helps them. They are just that powerful...

But they don't even realize it because, to them, they are only doing what the Lord tells them to do. Nothing more, nothing less.

Again....I'll do a blog on it Tuesday and post a link.

I started playing a song acoustically and people from various nations began coming out of the audience to join me. People who could not speak to each other because of language barriers were praising the Lord together spontaneously on songs they had never heard. The technical staff made a live recording of what happened and called it "Push That Button".

I just posted the middle part of one song at Soundlick. It had to be edited down because it went on for half an hour and they only allow up to 10 meg files on Soundclick. Didn't do a single song under the allowed limit.

Now imagine a room of 500 Germans singing these words;

The Lord will send forth the rod of your strength from Zion. Reign in the midst of your enemies, Yisrael.

wonderful!

I can't wait to get there actually. I told my fiance that he will have to have someone physically put me back on the plane... of course I'll be in Frankfurt am Main though...

My mom was commenting yesterday when I told her what I want to do to my "new home" when I finally move- how interesting and strange at the same time for such hebraic decoration to be back in Germany after the Shoah..

It is striking.. but from one light, may many others be lit...!
