Howdy ya'll
I'm writing this while sitting in the back of the room and listening to David Davis preach at T.O.S., a church in tubingen germany
We are in the 3rd day of a 5 day conference which they have called "Road to Jerusalem". No relation to the one happening in America...this one is better.
This church in Germany heard Zealous Over Zion 4 years ago. The song "babylon" convicted them that repentance for the sins of their fathers in the 3rd Reich was not enough. They decided they could no longer be silent.
I would get writers cramp telling you all that they have done but they have began blessing Israel since that day...and have established outreach ministries for the poor and for drug addicts in Ireland, Belarus, Israel, and all over South America...and Germany.
Their message of blessing the jewish people was not received in Germany at first but this pastor, Jobst Bittner, knew this was the will of God and continued teaching the truth about blessing Israel and now has one the most dynamic growing churches of Germany.
The church is built in such a way that you have to walk over some train tracks to get in the door. These train tracks are the ones that took jews to every concentration camp to the east. What a grim reminder of the need to repent, eh?
Germany is SUCH a christian country that everything is closed today for a national holiday. The Ascension of Jesus.
Jobst is not pulling any punches either. He is preaching strong repentance can only be followed with action and that silence about blessing Israel is the same sin as murder.
I'm here with Karen Davis and Arnie Klein from Israel and this Saturday we're all going on a march. About 500 crazy christians are going to take over the city.
This city, Tubingen, got rid of the jews long before Hitler did. They kicked them out of the university a century ago.
So we are ALL going to the city square to declare God's faithfulness to the jews on Shabbat. After that we will do a prayer walk through the empty jewish quarter to pray for Israel and the jews. After that we are doing a praise/worship service at the University campus to declare that the God of Israel rules here.
It is a new day, folks. This church is going to make sure of it.
Be encouraged. Be very encouraged.
