Hi there,
since I am planning to move to the UK (Lancashire county or Blackburn unitary) for a month, I have a question concerning the Anglican Church. I am also planning to attend church there, since going to church on Sunday has become very important for me.
I've learned that there are many rites within the Anglican Church from Low Church evangelical (comparable to Lutheran church services in Austria; according to the videos I've watched so far) to High Church Anglo-Catholic.
Furthermore I've read that there are even novus ordo masses and also the Sarum Rite.
So, my question is: How do I know which rite is used in each parish? Or do I ever know?
Since I am Catholic, I am, of course, more interested in Anglo-Catholicism (I've seen videos, those masses are so beautiful. I even dare to say, more beautiful than some masses in the Catholic Church nowadays). Thus my question.
And finally: Are there also Roman Catholic parished in the UK, especially in North West England, since this will be my destiny.
How big are the Roman Catholic parishes in average?
Thank you in advance!
Yours,
Esdra
