  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Thank you for posting this. Jack was a good man through-and-through, and also a good politician - the only honest and genuine leader of the major Canadian parties. He fought hard for Canada and believed in Canada right until the end, and still urges us forward in the letter to the Canadian people he left behind.

Rest in peace, Jack.

I am thinking of going to Toronto for his funeral to show support for his family and his vision. I can't actually go to the funeral, but I imagine there will be a crowd gathered nearby holding vigil during the service.

His letter is one of things that has brought me a bit of national pride. I was a happy supporter and voter of Jack's. It's an utter shame that he has passed. My prayers are with his family, and our country in general.

I love how much is being done to commemorate Jack, and how so many Canadians, politics aside are pulling together to say goodbye to this man.

I think in future elections, because of Jack's exhausting work to help the vulnerable, Canadians are going to demand more from their politicians. Finally.

And how about the 'Trustache' making its rounds on Twitter?
