Righteousness is a Christ given/imputed gift & not earned

Rom 4:11 Abraham received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:

Rom 4:22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

Rom 4:23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;

Rom 4:24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;

Ja 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness:

Rom 3:
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus

Rom 5:
17 For if by the trespass of the one (Adam), death reigned through the one (Adam), much more surely will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in [eternal] life through the One, Jesus Christ.

19 (B) so through the obedience of the one Man the many will be made righteous and acceptable to God and brought into right standing with Him.
(MY NOTE: "Thru the obedience of one Mam" = Jesus: Whereby many will be made righteous/be brought into right standing with God)

Gal 3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by "faith of Jesus Christ" might be given to them that believe.
(MY NOTE: The promise by the faith "OF" Jesus Christ. Then our Faith placed in Christ's work)

Believers don't obtained righteousness thru their own obedient actions. Righteousness is a Christ given/imputed gift (Rom 5:17). The Lord Jesus is the source of/to righteousness.

While the Temple was operating the High Priest had authority to impute/transfer sin (Lev 16:21).

Christ is our Great High Priest (Heb 4:14). Christ can not only Impute a believer's sins onto Himself. Our Great High Priest can also, Impute His righteousness onto the believer as well. Whereby, we become the righteousness of God in/thru the Lord Jesus (2 Cor 5:21).

Rom 9:30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.
(MY NOTE: Faith placed in Christ leads to imputed Righteousness)

Gal 5:5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
(MY NOTE: Faith placed in the Lord Jesus leads to imputed Righteousness)

Phil 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
(MY NOTE: Jesus' was obedient & faithful, even unto the death of the cross)

Rom 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous
(MY NOTE: Adam sinned & FAITH placed in the Lord Jesus's obedience, sin atoning sacrifice & resurrection is the fix)

Habakkuk 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but "the just shall live by his faith".
(MY NOTE: The just live by "HIS" faith!)

Rom 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from "faith to faith": as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
(MY NOTE: From Faith to Faith!)

It's our Faith placed in Him & His faithful, obedient work. Found in His sin atoning death (sins required wage/PAID) burial (proof Jesus died) & resurrection (Fathers receipt, sins required wage received & accepted) Leads to our imputed Righteousness. Not! our own self works!

Interesting isn't it? The repentance from dead works in faith and everything surrounding it thereafter, is facilitated by Him.
