Right or Wrong?

I thought we could start a new thread about things that are right or wrong in relationships!!! Get a little bit of conversation going - so I'll go first. You can answer any of the questions you like - and ask as many as you like!!!!

Right or Wrong - closing the door of your bedroom when you have your boyfriend/girlfriend in there????

There's nothing wrong with it per say. The only problem is that you're setting yourself up for a trap. I think its better just to leave the doors open to aviod any temptation.

I'd just say "wrong" because of the temptations and connotations especially since that door is open 90% of the time. Even with an open door, I'm not sure if I could sit on my bed with my hypothetical g/f. The tempations would probably drive me wild.

Right or wrong - just the two of you watching a movie together at one of your houses?

Closed door: wrong.

Movie alone: Okay, as long as the lights are on, and there's no big time cuddle session. (This is different for everyone, of course.)

Right or wrong: "Dating" someone else just because the person you like hasn't expressed interest in you back. (The person doesn't know you like them.)

I think it depends. The situation queen described is quite vauge.

The problem with this topic is that right and wrong is so different for each individual in relationships. Each person is tempted more significantly in different ways, and the spiritual maturity, life stage, past, physical, mental, and emotional development, and a load of other things cause differences in what situations are going to get people in trouble. With my last girlfriend (#3 in case you're wondering, wasn't a charm ), we had no problems at all. There was one point where we thought the situation was sketchy, but we talked about it, prayed, and it wasn't a problem after that. We were pretty spiritually in tune with eachother, which meant that when we were together, we were pretty in tune with God. That makes the outside situation a lot less important. It just wasn't tempting when the love of God seemed so present.

Right or wrong: crashing at your SO's place if it's really late or something (and it would NOT be in your bedroom)

Oooh I dont know - if you fall asleep then I guess it's okay but if you just stay cause it's late then I'm not sure. However I have stayed in a house with just 3 guys and I've had a guy friend stay at my house several times but I'm not involved with any of them. I'm not sure about that.

The principle being that you or your SO is too tired to drive home or the weather is so bad that nobody should drive in it.

I know some people who got in to some really bad situations because the door was shut and locked - my previous housemate actually. I now have a rule in my house that the doors remain open if there are people who are dating in that room because I think it leads to problems!!!

Also the movie thing - I can't see anything wrong with it, however it depends on what type of movie it is......

On the sofa is fine, as long as you're fully clothed. Minus shoes.

Well tiredness or bad weather can kill so as long as they are sleeping in seperate rooms then I can't see a problem with it!!!

uh not really a problem... i don't care too much eh? We aren't silly, and sometimes we wanna have private talks, without others hearing, and cant go out.

I prefer choosing a movie alone because I usually end up with the right choices instead of somebody picking if for me. But that's just me!
