How about riddles?
Aswer one, make a new one... and later on(maybe tomorrow) come back to your own riddle and let us know if the suggested answer was right, please.

E.G.
Riddle:
If you were running a race, and you passed the person in 2nd place, what place would you be in now?

Answer:
You would be in 2nd. You thought first place, huh? Well, you passed the guy in second place, not first.

And here comes the first one waiting for an answer:

George, Helen, and Steve are drinking coffee.
Bert, Karen, and Dave are drinking soda.
Using logic, is Elizabeth drinking coffee or soda?

that riddle above seems to bee a difficult one. nobody has tried to aswer it. i'm been thinking the whole day without any ideas but when i went to sauna ... there i realized... could it be a fire

first you need some firewood which rumble, then you light the fire, and get some smoke in your eyes, but the warmth of fire dryes every rain...

Someone else can try that one too, but I put the next one here - not very difficult

I cannot be felt, seen or touched;
Yet I can be found in everybody;
My existence is always in debate;
Yet I have my own style of music.
What Am I?

soul ?

The paragraph below is most unusual. How quickly can you find out what is so unusual about it? It looks so ordinary you'd think nothing was wrong with it - and in fact, nothing is wrong with it. It is unusual though. Why?

"Gatsby was walking back from a visit down in Branton Hill's manufacturing district on a Saturday night. A busy day's traffic had had its noisy run; and with not many folks in sight, His Honor got along without having to stop to grasp a hand, or talk; for a mayor out of City Hall is a shining mark for any politician. And so, coming to Broadway, a booming bass drum and sounds of singing, told of a small Salvation Army unit carrying on amidst Broadway's night shopping crowds. Gadsby, walking towards that group, saw a youg girl, back toward him, just finishing a long, soulful oration ... "

The above passage is taken from the book "Gatsby" written by Ernest Vincent Wright in the late 1930's

soul is right, but who can tell what is unusual in the text above?
If nobody can, puppy you could enlighten us, please - and make another riddle for us to ponder.

JMB's riddle got it's answer with a hundred blessings in another thread. Here is a new one to ponder. And there's also puppy's question unanswered - I can't figure it out.

No legs have I to dance,
No lungs have I to breathe,
No life have I to live or die
And yet I do all three.
What am I?

And then a little bit maths:

There is a town in Texas where 5% of all the people living there have unlisted phone numbers. If you selected 100 names at random from the town's phone directory, on average, how many of these people would have unlisted phone numbers?

What would you say?
