Rhetorical Question: Why should we win souls for Heaven?

This is just an experiment. I know all of the reasons why we should be spreading the Gospel and taking part in the Harvest and the Great Commission.

However...

I'm curious. Something came to my mind about this very subject a few days ago in prayer (it was last week sometime) and out of the blue while driving home from work, the thought came out of nowhere, and usually when one has a spontaneous thought that comes out of nowhere, it could very well be Him trying to point something out to you.

So here goes:

I'll tell you the thought after at least 5 people have replied to this post. I'm curious to see if anybody gets it (it, meaning the same reason I was thinking of) within the first 5-10 responses.

God wishes that no one perish. Our goal is to be like God and love everyone. Thus, our goal should be to wish no one perish as well.

God is righteous,which means we must be punished for our trangressions.

But God also Loves us, His Creation, so He provided a means of Salvation(The Hope we have in the Life,Death,and Ressurection of Jesus Christ.).

When we are saved we are given a new nature through the Holy Spirit. We share the Good News because it's good too. Because we Love and wish for others to find Christ.

Okay as promised I'll elaborate on the thought that came to me one night in prayer a couple weeks ago:

The more people we help get saved, the more people we nudge in His direction who get saved, the more people who end up in Heaven, the louder non-stop praises and worship will be in Heaven.

The more souls that are singing praises to Him, the louder it will be, and the happier everybody will be in Heaven. I don't think I've ever heard anybody put it quite like that, so I thought I'd share that.

And the more we praise Him, the more he will direct our paths.

Hmm, that is a very interesting thought. But, isn't everyone in heaven already happier than we can imagine? But ,I agree , the more praises go up to our Father the more blessings come down from Him. AMEN!

I agree with your response.. However, I would rather word it slightly differently. The purpose of creation is fulfilled through bringing Glory to God (Isaiah 43:7). So it would make sense only for everyone to hear the gospel and give their heart to Jesus so that the purpose of their soul is fulfilled.

We don't win souls. Guided by the Holy Spirit we are a road sign to the Lord, He saves them.

"Salvation is of the Lord."
