  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Did you watch Revelation - The End Of Days 4 hour mini-series on the History Channel? I liked the fact that they produced a program on this most important topic. But I don't like how they didn't follow scripture. One blaring example was when the Rapture happened and only children where taken up. What about the other believers? This was the most glaring example, but there were other errors. I still give it a thumbs up...but just barely. At least the History Channel is willing to tackle the most important topic of the past 2000 years. Hopefully they'll stick to scripture the next time they try to go Biblical. ;)

I finally got around to watching it last week. After the first part I really thought about not watching the second part. I won't claim to completely understand the book of Revelations but I know that was not a biblical account, more like a based on the book of Revelations. I didn't hate it and I did somewhat enjoy watching it but don't think I will be viewing it again. I can say one thing though at least it gets people thinking and maybe a few of the unsaved will be interested enough after watching it to dive into God's word a bit.
