Appearence: Unusually tall, his face is badly disfigured by burns. Brown hair thats always kept tied behind his back, it reaches down to the center of his back. Much of his arms and hands bear similar burns, but with less intensity that makes them less visable. He always hides himself in a cloak to avoid disturbing people with his appearence since he is easily spotted. A great claymore and a small buckler always rests upon his back (the sword) which he mysteriously wields with one hand, easily.
Personality: Wise amung his age, he does not speak much without being spoken too unless he is being mischievious, but acts swiftly in situations that need urgencey. Truely neutral, he sees the glass of water as a half glass of water rather than full or empty. He can hide his opinions well, and knows how to manipulate people into resolving issues without violence. Many contridictions that people think not possible in someones character make him who he is.
His Story:
As a child, Reus, was loved and cherished by his family and friends as the gentle giant. He always dreamed of being a royal guard to his small but powerful kingdom of Verborgen Heuvels, as he would do his chores every day, he would pick up anything sword like, and swing it around, daydreaming. One day, at the mere age of 15, Reus was out tending to the grazing of his family’s stock in the mountains, the kingdom was attacked by an unknown force. Upon his return, he found few survived, and the whole kingdom had been destroyed beyond repair. While searching the remains for people who had survived, he found that the kingdoms greatest blacksmith and swordsman, Smid, was wounded badly. Reus had no idea what to do. When he lifted the old man up to try and move him to a safer spot, his hands began to glow and the old man was healed miraculously. In return for saving his life with Reus’ strange abilities, Smid took Reus as his own, and taught him the trade. Both had lost so much, but both Smid and Reus had gained each other. As fate would have it, that was not the last bit of tragedy he would see in his life. Smid and Reus gathered as much as they could in memories from the ruins of their houses and set off for a new place.
After ten years had passed, and they had settled in a new place, assassins had come for one of Smid’s legendary blades. When Smid refused to help them, they tied him up and started burning his house with him in it. Reus quickly hid away, protecting Smid’s greatest sword, stuck watching what unfolded. As soon as the assassins left Smid to die, Reus sprang to action trying to save his master from the fire. Reus had been too late, and could not get to Smid. Forced to flee, he barely got away with his own life, being burned badly on his face.
Now Reus travels, often under the identity of a negotiator for warring nations.
Other traits: He has the mysterious power to heal people, even though he does not know how to control it currently. Let him not fool you by his attitude, he is a great warrior and believes in what he believes with full faith, giving him the title of paladin and protector of the innocent.
