  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A few days have passed since the Reuban Morgan Concert and it seems like a blur really.

The pastor there dressed really....young, like an old rocker but was infact a grandfather. He introduced Reuban and the rest of the band. If you don't know what Reuban looks like, I would say he's like a dirty hippie. Not that I have anything against hippies but very different from what I imagined a worship leader should look like. Anyways....

I am on one of the worship teams and it is a rare pleasure to sit back and let someone else lead you into worship. Sunday night was my time for indulgence. Some songs I knew, some I didn't. I wish I wrote down which ones were played cause I now I wanna try them. My favorite was "Awesome God" which is an oldie but a goodie. He also played "One Way" and "Everyday". There were so much more but I forgot them all.

I wish I could give you guys a better account of what happened but it was just encouraging to me knowing that the God I worship in my small church is the same God all these people were worshiping as well.
