Wow sad news only 57 years old. Wore his faith on his sleeve. Even quoted Psalm 18 at his Hall of Fame induction.

People like Gary Carter are easy to root for and hard to miss.

Although I'm greatly saddened by the news of Gary's death, I'm ecstatic that I've read nothing but good comments from all of those who knew him...especially in relation to the genuineness of his Christian faith.

1986...My dad & I listened to every Met game on the radio...it was our time to share...Gary Carter was the catcher...."The Kid" ...and my dad's favorite player.

They're both gone now & I have the memories.....
