  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

There’s a new sheriff in town:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...066f51640f6_story.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share

President Trump has made his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, the de facto project manager for constructing his border wall, frustrated with a lack of progress over one of his top priorities as he heads into a tough reelection campaign, according to current and former administration officials.

The president’s son-in-law and senior adviser is pressing U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to expedite the process of taking over private land needed for the project as the government seeks to meet Trump’s goal of erecting 450 miles of barriers along the U.S.-Mexico border by the end of 2020. More than 800 filings to seize private property will need to be made in the coming months if the government is going to succeed, officials aid.

It seems to me that there was a time when conservative Republicans would have been appalled by the federal government seizing private property.

But conservative is on the way out, replaced by Trump philosophy.

Perhaps....but at least they recognize the problem. I find it rather funny how the democrats want the problem.

Yes the Democrats are so soft on illegal immigration that Barrack Hussain Obama deported more illegals than George W. Bush, George H. W. Bush, Ronald Reagan, Gerald R. Ford, Richard M. Nixon, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Herbert Hoover, Calvin Coolidge, Warren G. Harding, and William H. Taft combined. Clearly it is the Democrats that want this problem.

At the rate Donald Trump is going he might break George W. Bush’s number.

Deportation Rates in Historical Perspective

In fact, according to the Right Leaning CATO Institute’s numbers, the Democrats have deported vastly more than the Republicans.

Of course, this is from the CATO Institute, a Right leaning source that supports the Right, the same side that the Republicans are on, so it may not be true.

There's some small government for all our conservative friends around here. Especially @98cwitr . That can't make you feel too happy.
