I am looking on resources on Sola Scriptura, both defending the viewpoint and criticizing it. I am looking to get well-rounded information from both sides of the debate. Does anyone have any suggested reading?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
Resources on Sola Scriptura and Sacred Tradition

You might start with a book called "Roman Catholics & Evangelicals, Agreements and Differences" by Norman Geisler and Ralph MacKenzie.
There is also plenty of material to read online from both sides (just Google, "Sola Scriptura")
Finally, I would highly recommend two other books, these two being on the pro-Sola Scriptura side. One is called "Sola Scriptura" and is published by Soli Deo Gloria Publications, and the other is "The Shape of Sola Scriptura" by Keith Mathison.
On the anti-Sola Scriptura side, one need look no further than Robert Sungenis' book, "Not By Scripture Alone". He truly leaves no stone unturned in his defense of the RC position.
I believe all four of these books are still available at Amazon.

Great! Thank you so much...I am a fan of Geisler, and didn't realize he wrote a book on the subject (but then again, what subject hasn't he covered). I will look into all these!

I don't think the article has it straight. Luther's view was the church had authority, but anything they did must within the claims of.Scripture, and not contradiction,Tory. Today ifs bastardized, to the church is subject to the commoner and their wisdom in the bible.
And for the record, in one of the tim's, Paul established tradition telling Tim to remember and teach the things I talked about. In another spot, he says among the mature, there are things they talk about, not fit for less mature.
That's the tradition. Its ironic that the argument for no tradition was trained by Paul to at least one of his bishops.
Also consider Ephraim 4 it says the church is to teach us and prepare us for works to become mature. Think about if, they have the gifts of teaching leadership etc... most commoners don't have the gifts of study, discernment, etc. So tbei4 view of scriptjre kat all over the placd, and each one swears they are righf, tbey are.discerning, etc ....

Keith Mathison's book addresses that very subject. If CrazyLikeAFox picks that up, she will be well versed in understanding the differences.
