Requesting prayers again

I want to ask for prayers for God to soften my heart, and to help me believe. Please pray for God to give me mercy and not turn away from me, and that He will save me. I do not fear or regret as I should and I know this is bad but I feel like I'm just getting worse, getting farther from God. So please pray God will soften my heart and help me to believe and repent before it is too late.

You do believe. You are a Christian.
God turns away from no authentic Christian.
He has saved you.
You are getting farther. He doesn't move.
Repent: 1 John 1:9

Believe it, receive it, rejoice in it.

Praying for you, DeerGlow. Strangely, you are in a better place than many people, who are unrepentant and aren't bothered by it. Recognizing that we need forgiveness is a step that many people will never take. You've taken that all important step. Realize that you are forgiven and be thankful for it.

Psalm 139 is a favorite passage of mine, especially verse 5. I recall one pastor interpreting God hemming us in "behind and before" to mean that God knows the past and the future in our lives. Also, the same pastor noted that the Hebrew word for "know" in verse 1 means "to dig," and God digs deep in to our lives and knows us.

I feel scared and not scared enough. I don't want to go to hell but i had true fear of God I'd try a lot harder to avoid sin I think. People say I'm holding a too high standard but God had the highest standard and I've failed.

It really sounds like you couldn't be more genuine in faith. Stay in prayer, and time will bring more assurance. As I noted, it seems that so many people lack a sense of sorrow for sin.

I don't think I have true sorrow for sin. I don't know, I don't feel convicted like I did. I feel condemned and alone.

Praying for you Deerglow. Jesus loves you and cares so much for you. When He sees you He sees no sin, but a robe of righteousness. Isaiah 61:12 (NKJV) I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation,He has covered me with the robe of righteousness,As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

When you feel condemned repeat Romans 8:1a (KJV) : There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus......
