Thanks for the full quote. I don't have any problem with this statement either, then, seeing it in context.
Some people prefer to derail a thread they don't like.Jeffwhosoever,
This thread isn't about any of those issues.
The topic is: Republicans' appalling comments can tip the scale for undecided voters
So, do you have any comments pertaining to the OP?
Anna
Anything that could be called Christian thinking goes out the window when you hear people support rape like that. Pure rage takes over and trying to pacify it seems like an injustice itself. Forgiving those who have done me wrong is easier than forgiving those who do wrong to others. Condoning this behavior publicly is what can lead others to think it is acceptable and the cause of future victims. I've already heard Republican supporters parrot this talk to me in conversation so it is a serious issue that needs to be addressed with outright condemnation. The kind of condemnation we should have towards rape itself.
Yeah they are... sorry you think otherwise.
There is no way to ignore this trend among Republicans. This is appalling on so many levels.
You have read this thread. Playing dumb in order to be a party-homer is just as disgusting as the quotes themselves.OK, prove the case you are making. Who, and where is the proof?
Why don't they put out a memo warning Republicans not to bring up the topic of rape until after the election. Big foot in mouth problem with that issue.

They just can't seem to help themselves. Their true feelings slip out.
Are you suggesting the quotes are manufactured by the Democratic party and those republicans don't really think that way?I read it fine. I can recognize propaganda.
I could list a whole page about the insanity of voting for Willard Mittens Romney. Where to begin? But that's not what Anna, our dear OP, is talking about. She's talking about the brutal, lacking-in-tact, nasty speech that Republicanism is taking on. And I concur with my sister in Christ. . . .
If you ever have a loved one in your family who is a victim of rape, you'll realize why this rape stuff is a sensitive, painful, awful topic....and why the Republicans shouldn't be so callous and absurd about it.
Many people believe that life in the womb involves actual human babies. As far as I know, for the 0.01 % of abortions that result from rapes, neither Mitt Romney nor Paul Ryan believe that the state should make abortion illegal. Not being totally heartless, they understand the trauma of legally expecting a girl needs to bear her rapists child.
Still, the baby in the womb is a innocent human baby. That is true for any baby contemplated to be fit to be abortion, including the 99.9 % of the cases that are not the result of rape.
