  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

From what i understand, the order of creation in Genesis is that birds were created before the land animals including the dinosaurs. Contrary to this, evolutionists timetable seen to contradict Genesis. They believe land animals evolved into birds. Can somebody help me tackle this position? One example the archeopteryx. What is the standard YEC position for this? I believe in creation too so i'll learn as i go.

We are told birds evolved to dinosaurs. Experts says otherwise:

"A new analysis was done of an unusual fossil specimen discovered in 2003 called "microraptor," in which three-dimensional models were used to study its possible flight potential, and it concluded this small, feathered species must have been a "glider" that came down from trees. The research is well done and consistent with a string of studies in recent years that pose increasing challenge to the birds-from-dinosaurs theory, said John Ruben, a professor of zoology at Oregon State University who authored a commentary in PNAS on the new research."

"The weight of the evidence is now suggesting that not only did birds not descend from dinosaurs, Ruben said, but that some species now believed to be dinosaurs may have descended from birds."

Study challenges bird-from-dinosaur theory of evolution - was it the other way around?

If birds did not come from reptile, then where does it come from?

I have pursued this a couple of times and once in a debate I found a fascinating article on the real obstacles to this supposed transition. One of the real problems is the change in internal organs and metabolism, particularly the organs.

The striking superficial resemblance between the bones of the theropod dinosaurs (the so-called "bird-like" dinosaurs) and Archaeopteryx (one of the most ancient birds - which lived roughly 150 millions years ago) has led scientists to hypothesize that birds are descendants of these dinosaurs. The bones of the wing of Archaeopteryx look very much like the bones of the theropod dinosaur, Deinonychus. Indeed, the resemblance is so striking that it convinced a very large percentage of the scientific community that birds are descended from the theropod dinosaurs.

Demise of the "Birds are Dinosaurs" Theory

The dramatic changes in internal organs are bad, the way they are ignored by evolutionists just make it worse.

Grace and peace,
Mark

Birds walk around bending their knee because they're incapable of moving their thigh bone. If they do their lungs will collapsed if they have the same thigh bone as these dinosaurs.

First, Grace, please note that the article agrees that birds descended from reptiles, and never disputes that.

Secondly, if you actually want to find out the evidence and have a discussion about it, you'll have to post that question in the general origins forum, not in this creationism echo-chamber.

Thirdly, theistic evolution supporters such as myself do believe in creation. We believe that God used evolution as a method to create, just as God used birth from Mary as a method to incarnate Jesus.

All the best-

Papias
