I don't know if anyone noticed, or if there was an announcement, but reports are now closed.

The changes are starting.

I am disappointed that it is now private but at the same time, I am not surprised since some members have been abusing the system.

I found myself spending too much time reading them. I didn't need to spend that much time on the problems around here.

No official announcement yet, but it was in Lee's original announcement so there shouldn't be much surprise. It happened about half an hour ago.

Actually it can keep some mods from making grandstandey snipey comments for everyone to see which I started seeing from 'someone' to make points about their disdain or how "aweful" something was, etc.

I think it mite actually be better this way (an audience is lost).

I don't like it. I recently saw 2 report threads where consensus had been reached by 3 or more mods, and an Admin came in making demands that countered the consensus. The last thing we need is dictators ruling the forums.

What we need is accountability. And that's what we just lost.
