ok here is a choice of two actions you can take in posting:
1) give a testimony of how your life has been renewed or restored since accepting Christ and being a Christian or a recent event sharing how He has renewed you

or 2) share an example of how you grew through the act of making amends when you realized you had done a wrong deed (wether by spite, ignorance, or honest accident).....such as eating that cookie you baked 'just for mom' that she just left laying there to tease you for weeks when you were a kid - then feeling guilty for letting your brother take the blame for many years, until many more years later you finally allow yourself to feel free by simply sharing your memory and baking each of them a new tray of cookies.

my share: I was the kid in the above example! neither one of them even remembered it but I always knew I had done wrong but it took me over 30 years to make it right again, finally 2 Christmases ago.

Okay, this one takes a lot of thinking. Christ renews and restores me daily, but in the past few days He has been using my recovery devotionals. The daily devotions have spoken to my heart powerfully! It is uncanny how He does that!

I've been praying for what seems like forever for a good Christian academy where it wouldn't cost our family an arm and a leg for my daughter to attend. I've always worried about putting her in public school so I just homeschooled her. My daughter who has ADHD was accepted at one this week that is only 5 minutes from my house.

When I mentioned I was going to look for work they offered me a part-time job as a teacher. The job will go full-time in the fall as the academy is expanding. I have always believed that the Lord still makes miracles happen but this is a dream job! Close to home, 4-day work-week, free tuition for my daughter and best of all, a Christian education for her where I can be there for her all the time!!

Although my strength and sometimes my faith wavered after praying for so long, I have been renewed and in my heart a new sense of belonging has taken root. I've been praying for a new church and I couldn't have gotten a better birthday present. All wrapped up into one. I praise the Lord for that.

I start work on Monday.

One thing is forgiving someone like I have this week that accused me of doing something I didn't and not appologizing for it, I forgave anyway.

i am dealing with an impossible friend right now and everything i say is wrong to her so Jesus being a big helper when i ask is telling me to not be like her and here's what I'm doing.Be the opposite of them: a possible person. Live as an example of tolerance, patience, humility, and even some kindness (as difficult as that may be)--because these are all the things that the impossible person is not or not very good at. We are all influenced by the people in our environment--they don't have to be perfect all the time and neither do you. Give respect because you are human. If you don't receive respect, that's -sadly- their problem. Give understanding, and you get understanding. Ultimately this sort of behavior is probably the only thing that might possibly get through to them. They may not change in everything, but you can safely expect a difference

I have had a very trying year behind me. One of the things the Lord has done for me was bring me to CF. I have found a lot of encouragement here and am inspired to dig deeper into my relationship with God in order to move forward.

I am so glad that this thread is getting some thoughts and attention. I feel that CF also has been a strong hold for me to stay treading water for so long over the last few years of trials and tribulations. I am glad that God has brought me out of the darkness of depression and isolation and into a new group of friends at the local sober club where I started volunteering last fall. reps to faithful follower

One of the ways I make amends is to volunteer with others. I cannot undo the pain and suffering I have caused my family, but I can offer a hand of hope to others struggling with the same issues. I reach out and offer my experience, strength and hope. reps to zfawnz.
