  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Are you ready for another football season? It is hard for me to believe that training camp starts in 4 weeks! I can't wait to get back out there to watch them practice and to get autographs and pictures and all!

I'm very sad - I'm sure repping will help

Red Wings training camp sold out their 1 day of "in person" ticket purchasing (and I can't go to Traverse City just to buy tickets), so no on-line tickets available.

Evidently will have to re-think my vacation plans - maybe the prospects tournament???

Not to brag, but I have a collection of autographs that would make you drool. I even passed up going to an event yesterday where Heath Miller was signing autos because I have 4 or 5 copies of his autograph already.

doesn't surprise me - I watched the Steelers way back in the days of the Steel Curtain (I even remember the Mean Joe Green Coke commercial - heck, Troy Polamalu wasn't even born when the original commercial aired). They've always had loyal fans (probably because both Mr. Rooneys have been supportive of both their team and fans)

Edie, I grew up in Cleveland as a Steeler Fan. I even had my picture taken with Jack Lambert in 1980 when I was 7 years old!

That being said, one of my favorite pictures of me with an athlete is the one I got of me and Jarkko Ruutu last year (before he signed with Ottawa in free agency)!
