This is something I wrote awhlie ago- apparently while I was stil in school. I called it Remind me- because too often we forget to be thankful, and I want to be thankful every day.
Remind me
Remind me when I say that Im starving that Im only just hungry and nothing more.
Remind me when I say my house is too cold that there are homeless people who are freezing on the streets.
Remind me when I complain about my job that there are many unemployed people in this country.
Remind me when I complain about school that at least I was afforded the opportunity of education, let alone higher education.
Remind me, when the line is too long at the store, that at least I have money and am able to purchase whatever it is I am waiting in line to purchase.
Remind me when I complain about my family that many people are estranged from their families, or dont feel as much love from their families on a good day as I do on a bad day.
Remind me when my car is being bothersome that many people cannot afford to buy a car.
Remind me when Im angry at my friends that there are many lonely and forgotten people in this world.
Remind me when I complain of bad health that there are many more people in this world with disease and handicap beyond my comprehension.
Remind me if I ever try to walk away angry, that I may never see you again.
Remind me to appreciate my life that is full of blessings every single, dingle day because too often I forget.
