I wish he could have too, but he wasn't in his right mind and for that I don't believe God will hold him accountable.

I "met" Dan in the prayer thread for Tim Love. I remember him sharing all the stories of the time they served together and the love he had for his brothers in arms, and I remember when he posted about his wife leaving him and his family disintegrating, and the tremendous loss that he experienced. It is so sad to see one who was so full of life become what we saw in the end, but the fact that he was still the same loving person, reaching out to others when he was in such need, himself, is a testimony to the fact that He was still one of God's sheep.

Praying for his family.

Thanks for your post A New Dawn. And Nutcase you are right about the Jack!

One more picture I found. 3 of the guys in the picture (including Dan) took their own lives, and the other 3 died in Iraq and Afghanistan. Survivors guilt can be an ugly thing.

Thank you for the picture and sharing......it's a travesty that there is not a place our heroes can seek healing and refuge in.....tragic.

Yes it is Praying for all.

I was another one of the "marrieds" who posted on this thread when it was in the mature singles section. I would gladly have my posts removed if it means they can have their thread back.

This picture of Dan inspired me to go fishing. Yesterday we were at port so I did.

Now I don't know if you are ready to see such an amazing pic so prepare yourselves. This one totally puts that puny little thing to shame. Ready??? Ok here it is..............................................................................

I had fun though and I thought about Dan a lot bc fishing is one of the things I know he loved to do most.
Praying for his wife, kids and family.
