• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

You don't want that again do you?

That feeling where your head is spinning and you almost wanna throw up kinda sucks.

For those of you who have gone without smoking, remember that sickening feeling. That's what you'll get if you have another one. It's not like when you were a daily smoker. This time it will taste gross.

Well, just wanted to give you all that are tempted to cheat this reminder. ;)

I quite like that feeling actually. Sometimes I deliberately don't smoke for a day so I can get that feeling again.

Does that make me weird?

I'd say, "No comment," but then..."No comment" is itself a comment. Ever think about that? (I'm pretty weird myself.)

Buzzy/nauseous? I actually passed out! Had enough strength in me to crawl into bed, and then...that's the last I remember for quite some time.

Hah hah well this backfired.

Nah I understand cause it gives you more of a kick when your body isn't used to it.

But try to channel this desire to get that feeling and keep prolonging it. Go from 1 day to 2 days, and so on. Being able to quit for one day should be good motivation for stopping. I know it's the worst on the first day, and after that it keeps getting easier.
