Remember CF

What made CF what it is? What is it that really drew us in here? I know that a lot of us are upset about the changes, but we have to face this very important thing: we cannot change it. We are not in control.

I'm hoping that no one in the BE has abandoned CF, or is even considering doing so. I understand that it is difficult to navigate now. I understand that it doesn't feel the same. I understand that they took away our favourite features, and that this place may never feel quite the same again, no matter what we do.

But what makes CF, particularly the BE, what it is? What is it about CF that truly affected us and made us want to come here? People. Our friends. People that God sent into our lives to inspire us, encourage us, pray for us. Are you going to let the things going on blow you about so hard that you would abandon those you once called your friends? We are BE, are we not? I, for one, am sticking with it through thick and thin. For better or for worse, the BE is something precious to me. Remember these words?

"The BE is more than a forum, a sub forum, or anything else of the genre. It is a real community of real people, that were brought into each others' lives for a purpose."

Are you going to let that fall apart over an interface change? I'm not. God gave us CF for a reason! Even more specifically, the BE! Why do we fellowship in the threads here? The same reasons we fellowship in real life. So please, come here and fellowship in remembrance of the old CF... don't abandon this place. Remember what makes the BE what it is; the people. Abandoning it won't make things better for those of us still here; it will only make them worse. Stick through them with us, as our friends. The changes may mean that this place won't ever feel quite the same again, but it could never even get anywhere close without our friends...

I just want to know that everyone is still here.

Hi Cru, I do understand what your saying, that BE is more than just a forum, we have formed some very special friendships and I hope they continue to last and grow stronger.

I do feel though that CF is not as personal, it feels as if it has lost something even though I don't know what that something is. It's just more impersonal. I used to love coming on to CF seeing everyone on BE but now I hardly ever come on because it feels different. I hope that CF returns to a more warmer and friendlier place.

I came to CF for Christian fellowship and I still find that. I do hate "learning curves" but I made it through learning this site the first time and, by golly, I'll learn the new one too! The part I'm having the most difficulty with is how many times the site itself is down and that may be the part that is getting to people the most - kinda hard to learn your way around when it keep crashing but hey - I'm not letting the enemy steal this site from me! I KNOW this site offers us valuable fellowship by the way that enemy keeps trying to bring it down so lets keep praying for the tech team and before we know it, things will be back to the crazy, fun loving, Christian site we have all come to love!

I've been reading through a number of the update type threads and some of the other threads about the update; and one thing i've come across several times is that CF is "just" a messageboard ..... for me, and i think many others, it is much more than this. It's a place where we find fellowship; a place where we have friendship; somewhere to share, to minister, to laugh together; a place to bless each other; a place to come when we have great news to share; a place to come when we are hurting; a place of support; a place to ask for prayer; a place to discuss things on our mind including questions we have; a place to share our walk with God. So, for me those things make it much more than "just" a messageboard. And when things aren't going right; like during times of updates and changes, it can feel like a threat to all those things which make CF, CF for us.

For me, the BE has been my favourite place because of the fellowship threads we've had here, and the people i've been getting to know .... I hope, they will change the forum description to reflect what the BE is - nobody answered my question on that in the Q&A thread. I can't remember what we had there before, but thought it was different? or if not it should be; because its more than what was said there .... and I miss our forum logo as well

Yeah, I hear what you all have said. CF is very important to me and it was so hard learning the original CF to me, but I kept going back and learning and I will do the same here. What is most important to me is all who come here. BE is a special place at CF. It is not just another message board. And it is not all about games although we are listed under games. At any rate, I am not going anywhere.

BE is in the category of Relaxation. This is a place I have made many friends and have discussed so many things. People have helped me and I think I've helped some, too, maybe. I am not leaving. I have Faith that CF and BE are going to be much better in the near future!

But, the more I was there the more I saw how Satan could use things that you enjoy to his advantage. There was a lot of pettty arguing that took place, and sometimes I became rather mean and rude for no good reason. I decided that I did not want to be a part of that anymore; that wasn't the person I wanted to be. So, I Googled Christian Forums and found this place!! It has really been great for me both spiritually and emotionally. I really ♥ you guys!!

We do need to remember though that the updates have not been completed. So, don't go getting your undies in a wad just yet. Many of the features that were on the old CF have not been reactivated yet, but they will be! The main techie's father died last week; so, he has not been available understandingly. We just need to pray for a little patience and guidance for this site!

My brother and I have been trying to find our way around this new CF.. But what we are most upset about is that we lost our pets.. Mine was at level 100 and had 120 days.. We were ticked.. and making us look for all our clothes again.. I was really mad.. Anyway.. This is what we got and we need to be happy about it..
