Come on I thought we had some one out there that could at least address this very import scripture? Look waht Amos has to say.

Amos 9:11

In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: 12That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this.

13Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.

14And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.

15And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.

Looks like more then just a Jewish temple of the past; pehaps our Lord has a deep message here?

the Temple OF GOD being raised / lifted up in Glory is the Body of Christ to me as all will be brought in the first Israel /last
and the last Gentiles/nations first

Thank you for commenting Chickapee; you are right and brought some great scriptures into the revelation.

1 Corin 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world (age) are come.

I believe the deep truths of the Bible are hidden; hidden from the religious man, carnal man and revealed to babes. Just like the manchild in revelation is written in a symbolic language open for interpretation (man always speaks of spirit/spiritual in the Bible) where a women speaks of the soul religious) Nothing sexes here just the patterns in the scriptures) a child is some one open, open in this case to spiritual truths. So much of what our heavenly father has given is veiled from the carnal. Why so carnal men cannot change only the letter that killeth; they cannot touch that which is hidden.

My favorite word in the NT is mystery, or sacred secret in the Greek. How are spiritual truths hidden but in many ways; hidden in parables typologies, allegories, mysteries, languages, deceptions, as well as time; time has a way of erasing truth, religion, bias. But beyond all of this God has a hidden message right in front of our nose, He is revealing today to those who dare go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach

This so applies to the Tabernacle of David; There were at least four wonderful examples of types of Tabernacles/Temples that God ordained used in the Old Testament that show us what God is truly doing to the temple that he has fashioned with in us. Tabernacle in the Wilderness, Tabernacle of David, Solomons Temple, Harolds Temple that all point to The Temple with in us.

As you know there was an outer court an inner court and a holy of holies in all examples of the tabernacle/temples but not with the tabernacle of David.

But the Tabernacle of David was only the Holy of Holies, and David a type of Christ (a king) was able to go directly to the Holy of Holies without a priest.

There was no brazen altar, no alter of incense, lampstand; but David faced the Glory of God right there with out a high priest. Here is the leadership ordained by God in Mt Zion the highest mountain of God performing high priest duties and all was ordained by the Father in heaven.

There were hints to Davids priestly service 2 Sam 6:14 And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod. (KJV)

646 'ephowd (ay-fode'); rarely 'ephod (ay-fode'); probably of foreign derivation a girdle; specifically the ephod or high-priest's shoulderpiece; also generally, an image:

Notice the verse above and then read Hebrews 7-8. I know this confuses a lot of Gods people but many are so inclined to believe that heaven is a place where we will all go and sing and play harps etc. I believe God is calling a priesthood of Kings and Priest. Our mission as a firstfruit is the remainder of mankind.

Heb. 13:13Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach

Revelation 18:3-5

3For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
4And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

you know David means'' well-beloved ,''dear '' and just read the other night about David being a bloody man of war [ much bloodshed] so David by Gods Word told his son
Solomon: peaceable; perfect; one who recompenses[Hichcocks dic] to build the temple of God with all that David had gathered , stones timbers etc , to me seeing it spiritually as well as literally being types of peoples ...

and many of the hidden name meanings are the ''hidden manna'' in rev as well as a white stone [clean heart, aquitted '' to me

back to Davids tabernacle lol .... the Type of Christ , has a Sword /slays , and brings division the bloody garments and change of garments through out the WORD ! from the begining to End

Eze 37:24 And David my servant [shall be] king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.

Eze 37:25 And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, [even] they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David [shall be] their prince for ever.

and seeing this confirms it in the new Covenant Luk 3:22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

making Gods promise to David true .... through Christ [annointed ] all things are possible.

Ezekiel 7:1 And there is a word of YHWH unto me, saying, "And thou, Son of Man/0120 'adam, thus sayeth 'Adonay Y@hovih to the Ground of Yisra'el:
2 An End, come hath the End on the Four Corners of the Land".

Acts 15 tells us about a very important meeting that was taking place to assist in the transformation form the Old Testament to the New. Like the whole Bible, the message of Acts is that all men are sinners and Gods wrath is the response to sin. There is also only one solution, the gift of salvation which God alone can sovereignly bestow by grace (Acts 2:47, 13:48) to the Jews (Acts 5:31) and the Gentiles (Acts 11:17, 18). All people are the same before God and salvation is by grace alone (Eph 2:8). We have to look at this from a spritual percpective.

The name of David was frequently used to describe Christ. David means beloved he was a Shepard king, king over IsraelThis verse is referring to the tabernacle of Christ which are all believers, the stones in His tabernacle or spiritual church.

The tabernacle was fallen down because during the days of Christ there was a continuing attempt to adhere to a works a gospel. The Jews did not know what to do about the works that God had required of them in the OT, even Peter had difficulty with this. But Paul, Barnabas and James were very clear.

In Act 15:16 James was quoting from Amos 9:11-15 (Isaiah 58:12) where God was talking about what the NT era would like. Christ would come to rebuild his tabernacle (Isaiah 58:12). The residue in Acts 15:17 means the same as remnant found in Amos 9:12 where Edom originated from Esau (not saved) in line of Abraham. God talks about only remnant of them being saved (remnant chosen by grace).

Ezkl 34 uses other language to describe the tabernacle (body of believers) being broken down. The Shepards (spiritual leaders) were not being faithful. They were using the gospel for their own gain so the body of believers was falling apart. They were false teachers. Ezkl 34:11 provides the solution that we read about in ACTS 15, the Gentiles coming in during the NT era was the restoration of the tabernacle and God would be in charge. As a side note, Ezekiel was prophesying just before Israel was destroyed by Babylon because they did not listen to God.

In Acts 15:10 the Yoke refers to all the ceremonial laws Israel was trying to keep and they were weighing heavy on them. We are free from the Yoke salvation is all grace.

Back in Amos 9 we read about the Plowman shall overtake the reaper means the seed will be sown (plowman) all over the world faster than people can be saved (reaped). Mountains drop wine refers to the blood of Christ from Heaven. Hills shall melt meaning the path leading to Christ is straight (Luke 13:24). I will plant them upon their land means God will save his chosen and bring them into the kingdom of God. Again, salvation by grace alone.

Acts 15:16 tells us how Christ builds his tabernacle by grace alone. He does it all. Works do not contribute to salvation. We also should understand how the body of believers fell apart because they were led astray by spiritual leaders using the gospel for their own gain. The Gentiles were being saved and they were not performing any work. Good to keep in mind today. Very similar situation with people being led astray by teachings not in agreement with Gods Word (2 Tim 4:3, Mat 15:8 , Matt 7:22-23).

Awesome and I will add...

There is a lot of hidden symbolisms in the Bible; pertaining to Christ the head and Christ the body, I believe the Tabernacle of David is speaking of the elect of God that only God can call, or another way of putting it the Melchzedek priesthood; kings and Priest or the overcomers.

The elect is not all believers; but the overcomers are Gods elect; those who have an ear to hear what the spirit is saying to the outcalled (church) No where does it say the religion or system of man who has a ear, but he (singular) has an ear to hear (most do not have an ear because God has not called them. In other words the average church member are not the overcomers/elect; they are the great multitude (Rev. 7:9) Notice there is a distinction between the great multitudes BEFORE the throne (Rev. 7:9) in comparison to the overcomer who Christ will grant to sit with me on my throne (Rev. 3:21). Another way the Bible brings this out in symbolism is the Tabernacle of David as we have already addressed.

Rev. 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

Rev. 3: 21To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. 22He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Back to the Tabernacle of David and its purpose: look what other translations say:

Acts 15: 13-18 (ESV) 16(A) "'After this I will return,and I will rebuild the tent of David that has fallen;I will rebuild its ruins, and I will restore it 17that the remnant of mankind(B) may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles(C) who are called by my name, says the Lord, who makes these things 18(D) known from of old.'

"God said it and now he's doing it. It's no afterthought; he's always known he would do this

Acts 15: (Amp) 17So that the rest of men may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles upon whom My name has been invoked,

Acts 15: (HCSB) 17 so that those who are left of mankind may seek the Lord even all the Gentiles who are called by My name, says the Lord who does these things,

Acts 15: 17 (NIRV) Then the rest of the people can look to the Lord. This means all the non-Jews who belong to me. The Lord says this. He is the one who does these things.' (Amos 9:11,12)

The priest and Levite would then take the sacrifice to the brazen altar which was situated just inside the gate, sacrifice it unto the Lord, and the sinning Israelite could go away free--until he sinned again. Nor could he go into the sanctuary itself, for that was reserved for the priests. This was no arbitrary arrangement on God's part. His heart longed for a whole nation of kings and priests, and in the fullness of time He would create such a nation. Yepperz. Melchizedek is a rather fascinating study though not much is mentioned about Him in the Bible except in the NC book of Hebrews.

Hebrews 7:1 For this the Malkiy-Tsedeq, King of Salem, Priest of the GOD of the most-high, the together-joining Abraham turning-back from the smiting of the kings, and did bless him. [Genesis 14:18]
12 For being translated the Priesthood, out of necessity also, of Law a translation is becoming.
