  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Religion & Social Concern Discussion

with Huron Claus and JR Kerr

Friday 16 April at 7:00 pm

Huron Claus of C.H.I.E.F. Ministries

Trinity Graduate School at Trinity International University will host the 2010 Areopagus Symposium on Friday 16 April at 7:00 pm in the Kantzer Lecture Hall. This year's Areopagus Symposium gives attention to religion and social concern. In light of recent disasters (Haiti and Chile earthquake, Katrina, Asian tsunami) and poverty of more than 1.5 billion people worldwide, the symposium will address the issue of how religions respond to social concern. As in past years on the topics of religion and politics and religion and peace, it will offer two perspectives of how area religious leaders confront issues related to social concerns. JR Kerr, teaching pastor at Park Community Church in Chicago, and Huron Claus, president of Christian Hope Indian Eskimo Fellowship will be our discussants. Dr. Michael Cooper will moderate. Please join us for what promises to be an important discussion.
