  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

other than a nightclub? not many! lol I think it is great.... you could add the tag "ChaChaSlide" only problem is each person can only add 2 tags

Nice thread, Cassie.

I don't need any blessings, but I am wondering....... How does one prove they participate in Relay for Life?

Ours was May 30/31st.
It rained off and on the whole time, but we had a great time anyway.

My family has been participating for quite a few years now, and our team is called "Jojo's Family" in honor of my daughter who is a rhabdomyosarcoma survivor.

I suppose it all depends where you live.
Our day time temps weren't much higher than that. But if you wait too far into the summer people are off vacationing!

Oh your Daffodily's mom? i know her. Well online i mean. The relay I participate in takes place June 28/29. I think the cold issues was partially because we had a very unseasonably warm spring and most of us were in shorts and t-shirts.

Ah, just a few weeks away then.
Are you scurrying around looking for last minute donations and luminary purchases?
No matter how organized we think we are or how early we start the bake sales and flower sales and things we're all rushing around those last few weeks trying to get just a few more supporters!

Is your team made up of mostly teenagers, or are you a mixed ages group like ours is?
