Rei is the proud owner of long, black hair that reached to the small of her back. She usually keeps it in a thick braid to avoid her hair becoming tangled. Rei takes very good care of her hair, because to her it is her only redeeming feature. She is very self-conscious of her weight and tends to wear baggy clothing that not only covers most of her body but is unflattering and does nothing to accentuate the curves she does have.
Ability: Photokenesis - The telekinetic ability to create, control, and manipulate light and energy.
Rei has the ability to control and manipulate light but not to a great extent. Since her powers only manifested at a late age and she had been forbidden to use them she has not had the chance to test her limits or learn the extremity of her abilities.
So far she can:
Steal light (make it dimmer or make it dark)
Give light (make it brighter or make it blinding)
Draw light towards herself (to make her glow, pretty much becoming a human torch light)
Bend light away from her (to make her invisible)
Make light take shape (so far she can only make random little balls of light which resemble fireflies) This ability can help her create optical illusions but she doesn’t realize this yet, she also cannot manipulate the colour spectrum within light as yet, so everything is white for now.
Generate sparks or tiny fireworks through light energy (This ability, if honed, can lead to creating explosions).
Rei does not realize that light, energy and heat are connected and because of this she has become ignorant in developing her powers to their full potential which is hindered only by her limited imagination, she also doesn’t think she can use her powers in total darkness.
Personality: Rei is reserved and tends to keep to herself. She is uncomfortable in large crowds but is easier to talk to one-on-one. She loves animals and strangely enough, is not afraid of insects either. One thing she is definitely afraid of is the darkness.
History: Still working on it but for right now her mother doesn’t want a freak under her roof; her uncle wants to find out her secret, so her father had to send her to the school to protect her.
