Can we get a good life regrets thread going? 30-ish is a good time to start looking back on a few of the things that didn't happen, be it romance, career, or other.

I recently passed my great 35th, and among others, my dream of being an Air Force officer never even came close to happening. Lots of good memories as an enlisted man, but I just ended up moving in a different direction.

Would like to hear some of these early regrets as they come in.

I think its a good thread topic, not sure why no one is replying. I regret not becomming a christian sooner. I regret the person I married and divorced. I regret the things I did that landed me in prison. I guess without those things I would have never discovered Jesus in the first place! Maybe I shouldnt have any regrets?

Great thread- I'm sure it will pick up soon ;)
Regrets for me at this point...
Wished I haven't gotten married at 19 (and divorced 2 years later).
And also wish I had the motivation to seek Christianity earlier in life, at the age I knew better.

Regrets but I guess these kind of life experiences make us better. :)
How does it go? "Live and learn"?

I wish I had become a Christian earlier. It might have prevented so many other things like how far I let some relationships go and looking to earthly things like my job or other people to make me happy.

I can relate for sure...

Well if you have to think about it thats a good sign, maybe you dont have big ones lol

It's more like I have so many, I don't know which one is biggest. I regret marrying a man that hid his homosexuality from me and left me one day after making the announcement he was gay. I pretty much fell apart after that one.

I also regret getting my medical doctorate because I am too sick from a chronic illness to finish my training.

I wonder if both of those tracks in your life could be turned into a message for good? I and many women I know have been hurt by men who were riding some fence between being gay and straight. I don't know what the solution to that problem is, but I know it needs attention of some kind.

It also seems like someone trained in the medical profession with a chronic illness has a unique perspective on both positions.

There is one guy that I wish I had ended up with, he was a good guy, but I wasnt ready to get married or settle down in my early 20s. I also regret working in the hotel/food industry. I also regret an affair I had.

I had a really good friendship with a girl in my early 20's but was stupid and tried to turn it into a romance. I bitterly regret ever doing that. I found an amazing girl in college I ended up falling in love and marrying but any attempts to revive that friendship have failed.

New regrets every other day.

I regret that I'm too stubborn for my own good! :(

I regret not making more friends, and, neglecting or pushing away the people I had in my life during my 20's.

I've discovered now how important it is to have friends. Most of mine are married with kids, so, they hardly have time for a single like me.

If I had a bigger social circle then, my social circle now probably wouldn't be so tiny.
