Regrets and Sins

This is a rap but since rap is technically poetry I'm putting it under poetry. Tell me what you guys think.


You spit accusations like you ain’t there to blame
You stain your own hands yet you deny in vain
The plain truth that you knew this whole time too
A sin grew from a lie that hurt more than a few
So what’s new?
You’ll set loose a slew of slurs
But as it were, it’s you who’s insecure
To tear down as opposed to cure
Yet you still want more
An asinine war that only creates gore
As you bore through
The glue that held so feeble lives together
So tell me what’s better
A set of short gains?
Or lives that’ll never breathe again?
When Romeo met her he let her make him sacrifice
For you – no one’ll be that nice
It’s your own vice that’ll make your price
You diced up others in an inimical fight
So just bite down and bear the pain
It’s you who caused this rein of doubt and fear
You who lied to clear your own name
And smear your own blame
So feign with your clear façade
Yet for each day you robbed
I’ll just nod and carry on
Forget you ma, you ain’t won


So do you believe in God?
Do you believe that sob that caused that throb
Of fear’ll come back when death is near?
When that cold steel makes you come to feel death?
When you deal with the realization that the end is real
And peel back the block in your memory stock
Remember the flock of people that just stopped?
To witness your fresh plot
To witness your derision chop
And you be the monolithic rock
And you just drop shot after shot
So I guess not – when his heartbeat stops
It wasn’t you fault for the result spot
So don’t blame us for retaliation
We’ve had enough compensation for facing
Unlimited escapin’ of near death embracin’
Constant pacing ‘cause you keep instigating
Isolation with verbal macing
Enragin’ graven consequences
The past comes back, keep in mind who you bestin’
