  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

You said so yourself, it's a different mission. I'm sure both groups have extremely tough physical requirements, and the training is grueling. The only thing about Force Recon training that I would find might be difficult for a Ranger to go through is the water/SCUBA training, it's very similar to what the SEALS go through, so for someone who isn't used to water it might be pretty tough. On the other hand, from what I understand Rangers really stress extremely long endurance marches, much like the SAS, and that might not be something Force Recon Marines are geared towards. Of course, as a Marine myself, I like to think the Marines are the best at EVERYTHING, but to be realistic I'm sure anyone involved in one of our special operations commands, whether it be Force Recon, Rangers, SEALS, Para-Rescue, Delta, etc. is extremely dedicated and willing to put everything on the line in order to make it into that elite unit.
