Are you talking about "Post-Reformation Reformed Dogmatics" in four volumes by Muller, or "Reformed Dogmatics" in two volumes by Herman Bavinck?

If it's Berkhof or Bavink you have struck GOLD !

I have to admitt, it was easy reading the first time. Now that's it's sunk in a little and I'm re-reading sections, it's a lot deeper. Bavinck touches on points that I missed the first time or better, I'm able to apply and understanding the second time.

It's definitely on my list... but that's a long list. We'll see how long it takes to get there.

Reformed Dogmatics has a very solid reputation among Reformed people. Bavinck's systematic theology has been longed for by English readers for a very long time,and the dream is coming to pass. The first two of four volumes have been printed and are available for purchase. The final two are supposed to be out this fall. Bavinck's work is supposed to be superlative!!!

Bavinck is being offered by Baker Academic and Christian Book (CBD). It looks like the third volume may now be ready. Do a google.
