Halito, Okla Homma!! It is a GOOD day to be indigenous!!

Elder's Meditation of the Day - January 11

"Race and language makes no difference; the barriers are gone when persons can come together on high spiritual levels."

--Rolling Thunder, CHEROKEE

Not only are race and language barriers overcome by spirituality, but all things are overcome by spirituality. Inside every human being is the spirit. When we see people, we can choose to look at their outside or we can choose to look at their inside. Spirituality resides inside of others, we must be able to look at our own inside. If we see spirituality inside ourselves, we will see spirituality inside others. The saying is, "what you sees is what you gets."

My Creator, let me see all my brothers and sisters through the spiritual eye.

I just wanted to share today's thought from the Daily Feast because I think that even amongst "Christian white folks" (or light beige or whatever ) that so often we aren't even divided by RACE or LANGUAGE and yet we allow ourselves to become divided. More and more these days I am beginning to see that the way to not be divided--whether by race, language, or denomination--is to look at my own heart, examine my own life, and being the living example of love that God wants me to be. By loving as He wants me to, race and language and denominations--the things that divide us--all disappear in importance because my command...my DUTY is to love and serve!

Our little Red Fox,

I have thought about it long and hard, and I think I would like to offer you a new Choctaw name. It is "Nanaiya" and it means "Acts for Peace." I think this name is fitting for you since you have for years now acted for the reconciliation of all races in peace.

So I offer you a new name in Choctaw language. Would you like it?

"Feeling drained and weak in the knees is not so much a physical problem as an emotional one. Too much pressure drains away strength and we feel we are going to pieces. Inertia and lightheadedness may be the result of having to face something that seems beyond any power to overcome. But these will dissolve when met with strong words of strength and faith. As soon as strength takes hold and begins to flow again, we know we have struck down something so wily and subtle that it was both real and imaginary. But nothing has power against strong words, "I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick." And then we can ride the waves of our emotions like a canoe and not get upset among the waves."

I am sorry for being away for so long. My personal life has been somewhat out of sorts lately. I thought I would not be able to come back here but I am finding a small amount of time now to be online again. My life has been rather hectic (cannot go into any detail though). I ask for you to keep me and my family in your thoughts and prayers. I am here now, ready to continue on, only more slowly this time. And FaithfulWife, my friend, I accept that name and thank you for thinking of me so. Bless you.

(Yeah, our 1,000th post!) Hello, my friend. It is so good to see you again. I hope you are well. And I like the walking fox, too. I like to collect photos and graphics of the red fox. I sometimes have trouble finding graphics though.

Our 1,000th post! Yeah!!!!
