Hello all within the circle... sorry I have been away... long story...

I love coming here... I wish I could say that I was related to someone famous... however my wife's grandfather invented the soft-white light bulb for Westinghouse as well as the blinking lights on airplanes... he is like 93 or something....

I had a gr-gr-grandmother that used to let the James gang hide in the loft of her barn...and there are rumors they gave her money, too..actually, I heard that she was mean...

I am related to FAITHFULWIFE!! Closely related (Please, hold your applause and amazement--LOL).


In real life I am a genealogy freak. I have my maternal grandfather's family back 17 generations, my maternal grandmother's family back 8, my paternal grandfather's back 12 and my paternal grandmother's back 3-4 (she's hard to trace--they died young). But did I stop there? NO!

I also did my ex-husband's genealogy back 7-8 generations on his mother's side and 4 or so on his father's (yep--he died young too).

Then I did my dear hubby's genealogy back 14 generations on his mom's side and 5 generations on his dad's side (still interviewing and working on that side)....

...and his ex-wife's (my stepkids') genealogy back 8 generations!



Hey--I like to know where I came from!!

In all that genealogy I am not related to anyone famous. But BOY have I found out some "Family Secrets" (rolleyes) let me tell you! Sin was NOT restricted to THIS generation.

Thank you so much... God has been so good and faithful.. He is healing as only He can do... My wife's brother and sister-in-law are still struggling through... please keep praying for them.. they are not saved...

To recap for those who might not know... My wife's brother and sister-in-law were expecting their first child on Dec 31st and the baby died in the womb before birth... they are awaiting the test... it has now been almost a month since it happened and we have seen them almost every week... they are not believers... and we are praying and supporting as best as we can without smothering.. it has been hard... very hard to go through with them... this is the time when people start to move on and then they will get forgotten and the pain doesn't lessen... so - we are making sure that we do not do that to them... pray for their Salvation... they need Jesus...

Thank you my friends here... though I am quiet most of the time... I love to read and share within this group....

I'm praying for you Red Fox, and specifically I'm praying that the lingering cold will completely leave your family and you will all be well.

RavenRift, I have to tell you I considered sending this via PM to either your or your lovely wife (BTW, she was the first person to ever greet me here at CF!), but I've decided to be bold and let people get to know about me a little.

I too lost a child very late into the pregnancy...like at more than 8 months. We had already named the baby and had everything all set, went in for an appointment and everything was fine. Then he stopped moving and was just gone! So hearing of your BIL and SIL has been very moving and very difficult for me. So just please know that I've been in their shoes and it is a sorrow beyond sorrow. I realize they're not believers, and I can not imagine how they are getting through this! Please know that I am for them night and day, when I lie down and when I rise up.

I, too, lost a child, but it was early on in my pregnancy. It is a devastating experience to have to go through. My heart aches for a mother and father to have to go through it. We named our child Benjamin Keith. My thoughts and prayers are with your BIL and SIL, Ravenrift.

I never had children or lost a baby, but a few years ago my mom told me that she had suffered a miscarriage several years ago...I never knew that...it was only a few weeks or month old...when she told me this...to be honest...I reacted as if I had a new sister or brother...I realize that I have a sibling in Heaven waiting for me..and they are with Jesus...even if few of my family members turn to Him...I realize, I have a sibling waiting for me.
realize that they are with Him, waiting for that day to meet you in the Kingdom....He takes care of the babies that don't survive-

Very middle eastern...it's Yemenite Jewish dance...notice the man with the tin can??? Well, the Jews in Yemen were forbidden to play musical instruments and so they made due playing tin cans! This one was probably filmed in ISrael...
