We just got the word from our adoption social worker that we've been approved to adopt, and we just need to pick up our copy of the home study and sign off on it, and then we join the list of waiting parents, hopefully to be matched quickly! We're so excited! Please pray for us!

I'm not sure how it is on your side of the border, but we are prospective adoptive parents who are fostering. We never thought we'd be foster parents, because we only wanted to adopt. But here we are.

We've have two placements leave us. One was a special care infant who went to be with the Lord. The other is now with her cousin, who is planning to adopt. We now have a 2 yo girl who we hope to adopt. We've had her for 14 months. The judge gave her mom one more shot, but we don't think she'll stick to the plan.

We also have a 10 month old who we've has since birth. He's the half brother of the 3 yo. We are hoping to adopt him, also, since there's no one on the mom's side who will take him, and we don't know who the dad is. They've filed for abandonment on him, so it's just a matter of time.

I wish you the best and encourage you to be patient.
