Reading through the Bible this Year

I just started a new plan to read through the Bible in a year. I've never done this before, but I've been able to stick with it so far. (I'm sure it will be more difficult as I encounter certain books) What is also helping keep me accountable is that I meet with a group of other girls once a week who are on the same Bible reading plan and on that night we read the scriptures together and then share our thoughts on it.

Is anyone else reading through the Bible this year, or has done it in the past? What are your experiences with it or some tips that you can share to complete the year strong?

I've made a new year's resolution to read the entire Bible this year. I downloaded an iPod Touch app that has the Bible on it and in the app it has many plans for reading the Bible in a year. I chose one of those and have began it. I hope all goes well for you in the following year!

I also have an awesome Bible app along with a book reader program that I use together.

I'm going to shoot for reading the New Testament 4 more times this year.

Awesome! Thanks for your responses. The apps and technology to support Bible reading that are available these days really seem to help. Plus it makes reading the Bible way more convenient, since you take your phone with you everywhere anyways.

The Youversion app is free, has over 40 Bible translations to use and multiple plans for yearly Bible reading. As my kids say, it's awesomely awesome in it's awesomeness.
