Hi Guys,

I was just reading this, in my daily devotions, and I'm really scared to SIN now... (although, I know he will forgive because of the Blood of Jesus Christ...) But still it's very scarey to read..:

Heb 10:26-31 KJV For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, (27) But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. (28) He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: (29) Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? (30) For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. (31) It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God
 My freind, if that doesn't make you want to drop to your knees and repent.... check your pulse.

Jesus Forgive me of my Sins  :prayer: and help me to be a better believer. Thank you Lord

Honestly, that passage does not scare me. Those verses are misinterpreted by many people to tell those who drink alcoholic beverages, divorce and remarry, and even skip going to church that they are going to hell for "living in sin" deliberately. What that passage means is if we forsake Jesus Christ we suffer for eternity. It isn't saying that if we knowingly commit a sin we have lost our salvation.

Oh, I agree wholeheartly! It just struck me in a special way, of how I fail so badly, sometimes, to make the mark, if what God wants me to be. How I am missing the maturity and completeness (KJV calls it "perfection" Bad translation! :p ) of The Lord, and of the relationship, How this flesh holds me back, sometimes. Thankfully, because of the Blood of Jesus Christ, I have access to the Father and to Eternal Life, In JESUS CHRIST. Any other way of Believing, Is to have a Hopeless Salvation. Still, I strive for the Completness in Christ. I've been Saved since 1982. (Saved when I was 10 years old... I'm 32..) and yet sometimes, I feel as if I have so much to learn about him and what serving him is really about. I've learned so much, and The Lord has brought me through alot. and I've even had my eyes open to alot of things. (as of recent..) I just wanna know HIM better and know what serving HIM and doing His will, is really about.

Pray for me, As a Draw closer to him, Daily. :prayer:

Thanks,

CIS :preach:

Fear of God is important , but it isn't fear as we know it, God isn't there with a Big stick. It is reverential fear. Fear that should draw us nearer to God )as your post suggests the way you recognised those verses).

The Holy Spirit convicts the heart wehn you sin, and we all do unfortunaly.
