So often, the mistake I see people making (well, at least to me, it is a mistake) is they read the Bible with preconceived notions they already possess about what they think it is saying or meaning.....
They take the ideas they already have in their minds about some passage in the Bible and they incorporate those ideas into the words of Scripture......
And, all too often, their preconceived notions about what they think the passage means take precedence over what that passage might actually be saying, and the true meaning of Scripture becomes lost or twisted.....
Yet, is it even possible to read Scripture without preconceptualization?? Are we all hopeless slaves to our own preconceptions or can we overcome them??
