Reading Suggestions

I was hoping for some Catholic reading suggestions; I used to go to a Catholic church, so I do know the basics of the Catholic church and pratices. However, I would like to educate myself further, but have no idea where to start.
Hopefully some of you will have some suggestions for me.

Read anything by Scott Hahn. Karl Keating is also a good author.

I am learning so much from Scott Hahn's books and the are so easy to understand, I really reccomend him. I dont know a lot of the other authors, but the other author I do like is Patrick Madrid.

Catholicism for Dummies (really , really!) is awesome. I am the direstor of religious education at our parish and reading his book still taught me many things!

The Lamb's Supper is wonderful, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. And Shannon's right, Catholicism for Dummies is great! I loved the "sister says" portions.

I'm currently reading 'By What Authority?' by Mark P. Shea. Wow, what a book. It neatly skewers a whole boatload of assumptions about the Church, while explaining exactly why Sacred Tradition is held as equal to the Bible.

I also recommend 'Rome Sweet Home' by the Hahns, 'Born Fundamentalist, Born Again Catholic' by Currie, 'Catholicism and Fundamentalism' by Keating, and 'The Lamb's Supper' by Scott Hahn.

As you are reading through the books you selected, be sure to check back with OBOB with any questions you might have.

My favorite author along these lines is Thomas Howard. He wrote 'Evangelical Is Not Enough' and 'On Being Catholic'.

The Faith Explained is a classic and is great at explaining the Catholic Faith with the appropriate amount of depth.
