  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I have no time to read for fun.. or at least I have no brains left for reading for fun. I have books on hold at the library too... the only way I'll read them for fun is if they are really good.

After I read the Odyssey for my humanities class last month, I tried to read Pride and Prejudice with my mom... I don't think I lasted a whole page before my mind shut down.

OK good so it is not just me. Every now and then I'll get a book over Christmas break that is really good and I'll stay up almost all night reading it, but that's rare. Most of the time I start a book now and then it gets put aside and I don't finish it

I read for fun as well as read for school. I'm must be a weird combination because I love science fiction (Orson Scott Card, Asimov) but also classics. Verne, Doyle, and Dickens are good.

But my favorite are the American writers: Faulkner, Chopin, Bierce, Crane, Twain, Hemingway, Fitzgerald, and of course Robert Frost and T.S. Eliot.

wow I sound like a nerd
